About the Course
Lion’s Paw has routinely been described as Willard Byrd’s finest work. The course features two distinct but equally challenging and impressive styles. The first 12 holes play through towering hardwoods and feature a fair amount of elevation change, while 13-17 venture out into an open area where trouble comes in the form of wind and not hills. The finishing hole combines the two looks, playing open from the tee and then flowing through the trees to the green. Golf Digest’s ‘Places to Play’ awards Lion’s Paw 4 Stars (****) – 2001.
